Friday Top 10: Reasons to Hate on Kentucky

[tps_header][/tps_header]

3. Beard Eating

Beard

In 2010 Kentuckian Harvey Westmoreland was attempting to sell a lawn mower he had procured on the cheap for $250 to a few buddies. As is common here in Dixie during such transactions, Harvey was accused of trying swindle the prospective buyers, who then placed a knife to his brother’s throat.

What happens next is less common, unless of course we’re talking about Kentucky, because not minutes later Harvey had his beard cut off (with a knife) and was forced to eat it. The man was forced to eat his own BEARD! Eventually the two men were arrested for assault, and Harvey told the Lexington Newspaper that his beard did grow back. (That was a real question from the paper, why on earth would it not grow back?) Don’t try to sell used appliances in Kentucky, you will eat your profits and potentially your goatee.
