Every Friday of the offseason, a member of the RTI team will post a top-10 list. Many will be directly related to UT athletics, but some will veer off course a bit. Obviously these will all be subjective in nature, a bit ridiculous at times and subject to a lot opinion and discussion.
Though recruiting season is never over, it does, at times, take a backseat once the actual football season begins. And with the Vols starting practice on Tuesday, I thought it’d be a good time to check in on some of the top targets before a lot of the attention shifts to the practice field, and then the game field, shortly after that.
Tennessee has 15 commitments on board as the season gets underway for a class that is expected to be in the neighborhood of 20 total signees. So there aren’t a lot of spots remaining, yet there are still a lot of big names on the board. That means there will likely be some movement with some guys coming on board, and perhaps some looking at other options as well.
This isn’t meant to be an exhaustive list of all of Tennessee’s remaining targets. There are certainly some prospects that Tennessee is very much in it for that didn’t make it, and sometimes new names emerge over the course of the fall and winter as well. But here’s a look at 10 of the top remaining prospects the Vols seem to have a realistic shot at as football season begins.
