Several teams are formally in the running for Overton, but this is shaping up to be a Tennessee vs. Clemson battle. In fact, many believe the “Wide Receiver U” back and forth on Twitter in the spring originated because of the battle for Overton between the two schools. Expect Overton to make multiple visits to both schools before this battle is ultimately decided.

How He Fits
Overton is a complete receiver who can do about anything you’d need a receiver to do. He can stretch a defense vertically with his speed and go up high with his 6-5 frame to win a jump ball. He can take a short pass the distance, is a reliable target over the middle and is a willing blocker on the perimeter.
He has a similar frame to current Vol Josh Malone and you can see some similar talent flash on his high school film. The Vols will be looking for multiple receivers in this class, and more specifically a couple big receivers as players like Marquez North and Jason Croom will be moving on in the next couple years.
