This is another team that, with the benefit of hindsight next year, might be too high on this list. But I’m also giving the Tigers, a team that UT has yet to beat as of the publication of this article, the benefit of the doubt because of their success against UT and Gary Pinkel’s ability to win close games and get the most out of what he has on the roster. Mizzou’s 2015 offense has been a train wreck, so the good news is that there’s almost nowhere to go but up for that side of the ball. Defensively, history continues to show that Pinkel will field one of the stingiest units in the league year-in and year-out.
