Josh Dobbs didn’t do a lot through the air in this one, but he eventually made Northwestern pay with his ability to run. The Wildcats’ defense was able to contain him early on, but Dobbs finally ripped free on a 14-yard run for the game’s first score. He later added an 18-yard touchdown run that started with a dropped snap and ended with Dobbs tip-toeing down the sideline and diving for the pylon. Dobbs finished 14-of-25 for 166 yards and added 48 rushing yards on 12 carries and two scores. Quinten Dormady saw action late and completed 2-of-4 passes for 28 yards.
