Main contenders: Todd Kelly Jr., Rashaan Gaulden, Nigel Warrior, Evan Berry, Micah Abernathy, Stephen Griffin
Kelly and Gaulden seem to have the early inside track. But there’s a ton of athleticism in that group, giving defensive coordinator Bob Shoop plenty of options back there. Warrior, a true freshman, certainly looks the part. He’ll have a chance to impress in some of the coming scrimmage situations, as will Berry, Abernathy and Griffin.
