Five Most Underrated Players in Vols’ 2017 Signing Class

4. Riley Locklear, OL

Five-star offensive tackle Trey Smith will get most of the attention on the offensive line in Tennessee’s 2017 class, but there’s another offensive lineman in this class who could turn out to be a better-than-anticipated player for the Vols as well.

Riley Locklear, a three-star offensive lineman out of Huntington, West Virginia, held offers from several big name schools including Florida State, Miami, Michigan State, Penn State, and others. Locklear measures in at 6-foot-5, 290 pounds and has a very athletic frame as an offensive lineman.

Locklear, just like Trey Smith, is an early enrollee, That means he’ll have a head start in Tennessee’s new strength and conditioning program and a chance to learn the offensive line schemes early as well. Locklear has strong upside and should get a chance to show what he can do fairly early in his career with several upper classmen offensive linemen set to graduate over the next couple years.
