Five Most Underrated Players in Vols’ 2017 Signing Class

3. Cheyenne Labruzza, CB

The Vols desperately need help at cornerback this year and next year, and they need someone to step up as soon as possible and prove themselves. Cheyenne Labruzza has the potential to do just that.

Labruzza was actually rated as high as a four-star corner by Scout, but most services had him as just a three-star. Labruzza was being pursued by LSU late in his recruitment, but he decided against giving the Tigers more interest and stuck with his commitment to the Vols.

At exactly 6 feet tall, Labruzza is a taller corner who plays a physical game. Tennessee needs that kind of play at cornerback, and Labruzza has a high ceiling. His film shows a shifty athlete that was used on both sides of the ball at Albany in Louisiana. He could also get a shot as a punt or kick returner.
