3. Brant Lawless, DT
The state of Tennessee is chock full of talent along the defensive line in the 2018 class, and four-star Brant Lawless is one of those highly-rated defensive linemen inside Tennessee’s borders.
The 6-foot-3, 280 pound defensive tackle out of Nashville Christian School is being looked at by several of the top schools in the country. Alabama, Ohio State, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma have all offered Lawless, but Tennessee has been high on Lawless’ list for a couple years now. Lawless unofficially visited the Vols’ Orange and White Game in 2015 and has unofficially visited twice since then.
Lawless has played both on defense and offense for Nashville Christian, but he projects as a defensive tackle at the collegiate level.
Lawless has quickly become one of the most sought-after names at the defensive tackle position in the 2018 class, and his stock only continues to rise. The Vols need more defensive tackle depth moving forward, and Lawless would certainly help improve that.
