A Look at the Top 2018 In-State Targets for the Vols

2. Brendon Harris, S

With several safeties departing over the next couple seasons, the Vols need to add a couple more players at that position in their 2018 class. Landing in-state talent Brendon Harris would be a great way to do just that.

Harris, a four-star safety out of Baylor School in Chattanooga, boasts an impressive offer list. Clemson was the first school to offer Harris, and he holds offers from LSU, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Louisville, and others. Clemson extended an offer to Harris back in June of last year, and the Vols were the fifth team to offer him when they did so in early August.

Both Kentucky and Louisville offered Harris a mere couple days ago, and the top-rated safety in the state is receiving more and more national attention. Harris is not only a ball-hawking safety, but he’s been a dynamic punt returner for Baylor School as well.

Defensive play makers are always in high demand, and Tennessee will have to fend off some of the best football schools in the country if they want to land Harris.
