Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
If Saturday is any indication, Tennessee’s pass catching group will be a strength this season despite their relative inexperience. Jauan Jennings and Ethan Wolf headlined an impressive showing by the Vols’ receivers and tight ends. Jennings hauled in three passes for 23 yards and a score while Wolf caught three balls for 28 yards. Wolf’s little brother, Eli, caught a 19-yard touchdown on a wheel route in the second quarter, and Latrell Williams and Tyler Byrd both had a catch each. Williams’ grab was especially impressive, turning a short reception into a 23-yard gain.
