    Tyson Helton

    Position: Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach
    Age: 40
    Salary: $1.20 million

    Quick Bio:
2001-03: Hawaii – Special Teams Coordinator
    2004-06: Memphis – Special Teams/Tight Ends
    2007-11: UAB – Quarterbacks
    2012: UAB – Running Backs/Recruiting Coordinator
    2013: Cincinnati – Special Teams/Tight Ends
    2014-15: Western Kentucky – Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
    2016-17: USC – Quarterbacks/Passing Game Coordinator

Analysis: Helton has never been a true offensive coordinator at a Power Five school, but he has a track record of working well with quarterbacks. Helton helped guide Sam Darnold at USC the past two seasons and also helped transform Brandon Doughty into an elite collegiate quarterback at Western Kentucky. His background with quarterbacks earns him high marks, but it remains to be seen what he can do as the main play caller on a big stage.
