Every year, there’s at least one player on Tennessee’s roster who surprises and has a breakout campaign. But most years, there’s more than one player who bursts onto the scene and makes his name known for the Vols.
Last year, linebacker Daniel Bituli emerged as a big time player in the Vols’ first game of the year against Georgia Tech. Wide receiver Marquez Callaway also caught national attention with some acrobatic catches, and true freshman Trey Smith was arguably the most talented player on Tennessee’s team in just his first season on the roster.
