Vito Tisdale – No. 89 overall, No. 3 S
Jordan Morant – No. 177 overall, No. 8 S
Lathan Ransom – No. 217 overall, No. 12 S
Nehki Meredith – No. 266 overall, No. 14 S

The Vols don’t have a giant need for safety in their 2020 class, but they’re looking at some very interesting and talented names at the position this cycle.

Vito Tisdale and Nehki Meredith are probably Tennessee’s top safety targets as of now. Tisdale plays in Kentucky, and Meredith plays over in Virginia. If the Vols miss out on either of those two, there’s a good chance they may not take a true safety product in this cycle. There’s also the chance that UT converts a cornerback prospect to a safety.

Lathan Ransom is about to blow up on the recruiting trail, and his ratings should rise significantly soon. Jordan Morant goes to the same high school Jarrett Guarantano did, so that connection could help the Vols there if they choose to pursue him.
