For the first time in over 30 years, Tennessee’s football team has started out a season 0-2.
Tennessee led for the majority of Saturday’s contest against BYU, but the Cougars found a way to tie the game, send it to overtime, then win on a walk-off touchdown in the second overtime period, 29-26. The loss sends the Vols to only their fifth 0-2 start in program history over the last 60 years
The RTI team grades Tennessee’s performance on a position-by-position basis after every game. Managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and staff writer Ben McKee share their grades after the Vols’ double-overtime loss to BYU on Saturday night.
Here are our marks from Tennessee’s 29-26 loss to the Cougars.
I’ll always have your backs Vols, just promise to work harder. The players look really fatigued out there. Please work harder getting in better shape. We’ve all heard that games are won or lost in fourth quarters.
