Everything went Tennessee’s way on Saturday, as it should’ve. The Vols were clearly the better team, and they didn’t toy around for one second against UTC. That kind of win was exactly what UT needed, but now things get much, much tougher for the rest of the season.
Ben: A
Tennessee needed to check several boxes in its game against Tennessee-Chattanooga. The Vols needed the backup quarterbacks to get in the game, boost Jarrett Guarantano’s confidence, look good in the trenches, force turnovers, and get Daniel Bituli some snaps coming off injury. To add the cherry on top, UT didn’t suffer any major injuries.
Jeremy Pruitt’s squad checked all of the boxes as they picked up their first win of the season. It was a good day for the Vols in Neyland Stadium.
