Will The Lockout End In April?
After the completion of Tuesday and Wednesday’s mid-week SEC games, there is only one game left for each team before the conference tournament.
The conference will play one more game this Saturday to cement the seeding for the conference tournament before it starts next Wednesday in Nashville.
The SEC’s mid-week games went as follows:
Tuesday

- No. 7 Kentucky def. Ole Miss, 83-72
- South Carolina def. Missouri, 73-69
- Florida def. Vanderbilt, 82-78
Wednesday
- No. 5 Auburn def. Mississippi State, OT, 81-68
- No. 14 Arkansas def. LSU, 77-76
- Texas A&M def. No. 25 Alabama, 87-71

With three teams tied at the logjam that is second place in the SEC, the final game of the season on Saturday is going to be crucial.
After Wednesday’s games featuring Arkansas and Auburn, Rocky Top Insider’s Ryan Schumpert broke down the Vols’ upcoming seeding scenarios, which goes like this:
- Tennessee win + Auburn loss = Vols’ No. 1 seed
- Tennessee win + Auburn win = Vols’ No. 2 seed
- Tennessee loss + Kentucky loss = Vols’ No. 3 seed
- Tennessee loss + Kentucky win = Vols’ No. 4 seed
