Saturday’s Best College Football Games to Bet on

Utah at Florida (+2.5), 12 p.m. ET

Utah is coming off an excellent season and has been rewarded as the No. 7-ranked team in the country. The Utes have a fierce veteran defense, a formidable offensive front, and a running attack built for the road.

However, they’ve drawn a challenging first game in a hostile environment against a Florida team that is getting a lot of hype. Utah has also only covered the spread once in its last 11 games played in September.

The Gators look like an offense that might pop this year, and quarterback Anthony Richardson has all the tools to make that happen. After backing up Emery Jones most of the season last year, it’s Richardson’s show now, and he’ll be looking to take the Gators to the next level.

New head coach Billy Napier brings a fresh style to Gainesville and will have his team ready to go. The Gators play excellent at home, going 16-2 in their last 18 games, and the Swamp will be rocking for this one.

Notre Dame (+17.5) at Ohio State, 6 p.m. ET

Perhaps Saturday’s biggest game is the Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes. Both teams are ranked in the AP top five and are looking to set the tone for what they hope is a College Football Playoff season.

Notre Dame is No.5 in the nation, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the spread on this one. The +17.5 spread for Saturday’s matchup against the Buckeyes makes ND the second biggest underdog in a century for an AP No.5 team or better. Talk about disrespect.

The Irish should be able to move the ball with quarterback Tyler Buchner and a host of talented receivers but keeping up with last year’s No. 1 overall offense will be tough. C.J. Stroud dazzled for the Buckeyes in his first year as a starter and is this season’s current favorite to take home the Heisman. This is a team that can score in a blink, even after losing Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson to the NFL.

Notre Dame is just 2-21 against AP top-five opponents in its last 23 games. Ohio State comes into the year at No.2 – bad news for the Fighting Irish.
