Tennessee Fans Learn to Love Again in New SEC Shorts Sketch

SEC Shorts
Tennessee is the spotlight of the latest comedy sketch video from SEC Shorts on YouTube.

The Tennessee brand is as hot as anyone in the country heading into week seven of the 2022 college football season.

The Vols are ranked 6th in the country with an upcoming home game against No. 3 Alabama this weekend, College GameDay is coming back to Knoxville for the second time in just four weeks, and even SEC Nation is getting in on the action this weekend as well.

After Tennessee’s fans took over Tiger Stadium on Saturday after a dominant win over LSU, all eyes are on the Volunteers and their fanbase. Which is probably why SEC Shorts went back to Tennessee so quickly.

On Monday morning, SEC Shorts, one of the most popular comedy sketch series on YouTube, released a brand new video after week six. This video was a parody of dog training infomercials, except this time, changing things up so that it is Tennessee fans being retrained. The video’s concept revolves around the fact that after so many years of being on the downswing, Tennessee’s fans may need to relearn a lesson or two in how to watch winning football.

“It’s also so important to socialize your Volunteer fan,” the trainer character says in the video. “If left to their own devices, they resort back to wallowing in isolation and frustration. Find another Tennessee fan in your neighborhood and set up a meet and greet.”

Monday’s short isn’t the first time that Tennessee has had the spotlight on SEC Shorts this season.

After Tennessee’s Top 25 win over Florida in September launched them into the Top 10, SEC Shorts made a video portraying the big-money Vols entering the exclusive Top 10 club for the first time.

SEC Shorts has highlighted Tennessee several times in the last few years, with each sketch funnier than the last. Tennessee has been trolled for the Ole Miss mustard/golf ball incident, how the Vols recruit quarterbacks, surviving as a Tennessee fan for 24 hours, and suing the SEC to never have to play Alabama again.
