Monday Night Football Week 9 Preview: Odds for Ravens vs. Saints

While pure numbers would say the Ravens have this in the bag, we’re not jumping to conclusions so quickly – and the relatively close odds confirm it.

  • Point Spread: Baltimore -2.5
  • Moneylines: Baltimore -135/New Orleans +115
  • Total: 48 points

Yes, the Ravens are 5-3, and the Saints are 3-5. Yes, the Saints have struggled in the first half of the season. But now that Andy Dalton is more assured of his hold on the starting QB position, it seems like the Saints have turned a corner.

They certainly looked like a new team last week, winning 24-0 against the Las Vegas Raiders, who to be fair, are not contenders the way the Ravens are. But if RB Alvin Kamara stays hot and the defense can keep up whatever it discovered last week, the Saints have a good shot on their home field.

While the Saints are averaging 29.6 points per game with Dalton, the Ravens are averaging 26 points per game. But the team has been strong in the first half and holds a narrow lead in the AFC North.

The Saints could have a tough time with Ravens’ dual-threat QB Lamar Jackson. Jackson has passed for 1,635 yards and 15 touchdowns with six interceptions. He’s also rushed for 553 yards and two rushing touchdowns. However, Jackson is down one of his best targets, with Rashod Bateman on injured reserve.

We’re hoping for an exciting game, and maybe an underdog wins this Monday night.

Watch the game Monday, Nov. 7, at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
