Tennessee Opens As Favorites Against Vanderbilt

Tennessee opened as 14-point favorites in its regular season finale against Vanderbilt according to CircaSports.

The Vols are coming off their second loss of the season, eliminating them from College Football Playoff contention. Quarterback Hendon Hooker also suffered an injury in the fourth quarter loss at South Carolina and his status for the Vanderbilt game is uncertain.

Vanderbilt is playing as well as it has in years, defeating Kentucky and Florida in consecutive weeks. The Commodores victory in Lexington was their first SEC win in 26 tries. Vanderbilt can earn bowl eligibility with a victory over Tennessee.

Tennessee is 8-3 against the spread this season and 4-3 against the spread in SEC games. The over has hit seven times in Tennessee games this season and the under has hit four times.

The Vols have won three-straight games over the Commodores dating back to their 2019 win in Knoxville. Josh Heupel and the Vols defeated Clark Lea and the Commodores, 45-21, in the first meeting between the two coaches.

Kick off between the Vols and Commodores is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in Nashville. The SEC Network is broadcasting the game.
