Four-star linebacker Weston Port is making his way to the southeast and Tennessee as part of a spring break recruiting trip. Port will unofficially visit Tennessee Wednesday before also visiting Georgia, Auburn and Miami this week before returning to California.

The San Juan Capistrano, California native has been active taking visits during the recruiting process but has yet to see SEC schools. While it will be an uphill battle for any southeastern school to land Port, any of the four could make themselves a major player with a strong visit this week.

Port is one of the best players on the west coast, ranking as the No. 72 player and No. 8 linebacker in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The inside linebacker also ranks as the 12th best player in the state of California.

While his visit to Tennessee will be his first, Port has made plenty of visits during the recruiting process. Port has visited UCLA, BYU, Michigan and Oklahoma earlier this year and has taken three total visits to Michigan and BYU as well as two visits to Utah, UCLA, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

Port hasn’t released a top group of contenders and still appears to be in the early stages of his recruitment.

Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class does not have a single linebacker committed to date after the Vols signed three linebackers in the 2023 class. The Vols have just six commits in the 2024 recruiting class including five blue-chip recruits.

Tennessee’s recruiting class ranks No. 7 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings.
