Lindstrom’s commitment to Tennessee comes just over a month after he took his first visit to Knoxville at the start of April. The 6-foot-5, 235 pound defensive lineman wasn’t a long time Vols’ target but defensive line coach Rodney Garner and the rest of Tennessee’s staff did enough work to land the talented defender this spring.
The Springfield, Missouri native ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 228 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Lindstrom also ranks as the No. 27 defensive linemen in the country and the seventh best player in the state.

Tennessee has had success recruiting Missouri under Josh Heupel and his staff. The Vols landed high four-star EDGE rusher Chandavian Bradley from the state last season and are in the hunt for the state’s top player Williams Nwaneri this cycle.
Lindstrom was considering an abundance of top programs in the midwest including Iowa State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Notre Dame but the blue-chip’s recruitment largely came down to the Vols and Oklahoma.
Lindstrom is Tennessee’s 11th commit in its 2024 recruiting class and its third defensive line commit joining three-stars Carson Gentle and Jeremias Heard.
The Vols’ 11-commit recruiting class jumps one spot to No. 9 nationally following Lindstrom’s commitment according to the 247sports team rankings.
