Tennessee Football closed down the 2023 recruiting class with the addition of four-star EDGE rusher Emmanuel Okoye on Wednesday morning.

Okoye is a monster of a prospect standing at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, and is a product of the NFL Academy in London, England.

“The NFL Academy, which opened in September 2019, is a major initiative by the NFL, which aims to use American football to create life-changing opportunities for young people all around the world,” the Academy website states. ‘The NFL Academy offers student athletes aged 16-19 the opportunity to combine their education with a life skills programme and an intensive training in the sport, under the guidance of full-time professional coaches.”

The NFL Academy in London is now sending its top prospect to Knoxville, Tennessee.

Emmanuel Okoye brings tremendous and pure athleticism to the football field. 247 Sports Director of Recruiting Andrew Ivens has gone on record calling Okoye a “one of one” type of football prospect.

“A former basketball player that was discovered at an NFL Africa camp and given the opportunity to learn the game of American football at the NFL Academy in London,” Ivens wrote for 247 Sports. “Obviously, still very green and figuring things out from a technical standpoint, but reports elite testing numbers: 45.5-inch vertical jump to go along with a 135.5-inch broad jump. Also claims an absurd 7-foot-2 wingspan. Advertises himself as an ‘athlete’ that could do a little bit of everything, but frame, burst and ability to bend while turning the corner suggests that his ceiling is probably highest as an edge rusher.”
