In-state offensive lineman Ronan O’Connell released his official Top Three on Tuesday afternoon with the Tennessee Volunteers making the cut.

O’Connell, from Franklin, TN, listed a final three of Clemson, Wisconsin, and Tennessee.

Ronan O’Connell is a 6-foot-4, 273-pound offensive lineman from Page High School, which is located just about 25 miles south of downtown Nashville.

O’Connell has a four-star ranking from Rivals and three-star rankings from 247 Sports and On3 Sports. 247 also has O’Connell listed as the No. 38 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 13 player from the Volunteer State.

Throughout the time of his recruitment, O’Connell has more than 30 scholarship offers including rising contenders such as Arkansas, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Pittsburgh, and many more.

Ronan O’Connell was in Knoxville just about a month ago for a visit with the program in late March.

O’Connell has also been a very decorated wrestler during his time at Page High School.

Tennessee has been targeting high-level talent from the Midstate for quite some time now under the Josh Heupel administration. The Vols already have two commitments in the 2024 class from that area: four-star defensive back Kaleb Beasley from Nashville and three-star offensive tackle Jesse Perry from Murfreesboro. The Vols are now hoping that O’Connell is the next to join the commit list from that section of the state.

On3 Sports’ Recruiting Prediction Machine is heavily in line with the Vols at 89.9 percent. The next three schools, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt, and Louisville, did not even make O’Connell’s final three.

Additionally, 247 Sports also has their one Crystal Ball from Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong pointing toward the Tennessee Volunteers.

Tennessee currently has 11 commits in the 2024 class so far, including four players from the state of Tennessee. The Vols also have two offensive linemen in the class already with three-star Gage Ginther and three-star Jesse Perry.
