Tennessee baseball got placed in the Clemson NCAA Regional, the NCAA Baseball selection show revealed Monday.

The Tigers are arguably the hottest team in the nation, having won 16 straight and 26 of their past 29 games.

Clemson’s recent stretch allowed them to earn the No. 4 overall seed in the tournament, meaning Tennessee got placed in one of the toughest possible regionals.

The Vols undoubtedly got a fairly tough break by getting placed in the Clemson regional, given their 16 regular season SEC wins and 20th overall RPI ranking.

Rocky Top Insider takes a deeper look at how the Vols got a very difficult draw here and in the latest High & Tight, presented by Gambuzza’s Barbershop.
