
Tennessee football’s home opener against Austin Peay is in a weather delay after lightning struck within 10 miles of Neyland Stadium roughly 15 minutes before kickoff.
The new official start time is 5:30 p.m. ET. Both teams will take the field for a 13 minute warmup at 5:17 p.m. ET. Another lightning strike would push kickoff back 30 minutes from the time of said strike.

The game was originally slated to start at 5:02 p.m. ET. Neyland Stadium is sold out for its home opener and the stands were nearly full for the matchup when the game entered a delay.

Waiting for game to start
Whoever come to the idea of these uniforms, and whoever approved the team wearing them, should be fired! Why can a a University that spends so much on the football program as does Tennessee allow a team to take the field wearing uniforms that look so much like crap? As a UT alum, I’m embarrassed, just like when they wore those orange helmets at SC last year.
