The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to get back in the win column this Saturday after dropping their first SEC game of the season to Florida last weekend in The Swamp. The Vols will welcome the University of Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners to Neyland Stadium this weekend for the first matchup between the teams in school history.

Questions about the team flooded social media this week after the Vols’ loss to the Gators: When will Tennessee’s line get help with Cooper Mays? Is the tackling going to be a consistent problem against good competition? What does Tennessee need to do to get back on track? The Vols have an opportunity to answer some of those questions with a bounce-back performance this Saturday.

While UTSA is a team that has been consistently solid over the past two seasons, the Roadrunners are off to a slow 1-2 start to the 2023 season. Star quarterback Frank Harris Jr., a passer of nearly 10,000 yards during his time in San Antonio, has been dealing with injuries dating back to the spring and continuing through the season. Harris Jr. missed last week’s game against Army as sophomore Eddie Lee Marburger replaced him and led the offense to 27 points. UTSA’s quarterback situation is set to be a game-time decision as the Vols prepare for either quarterback to take the field.
