NFL Week 7 Player Props for Lamar Jackson: Can Ravens QB Lead Home Win Over Lions?

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have made the Detroit Lions the betting underdogs for the first time since Week 1. The 5-1 Lions are traveling to Maryland to challenge the 4-2 Ravens, who are 3-point favorites across most Kentucky sportsbooks.

Lamar Jackson is a big reason for that. While the Ravens’ offense hasn’t always been consistent, Jackson has been giving MVP-level play in every game. We’ve got the best player props for University of Louisville alum Lamar Jackson, plus the best Kentucky sportsbook promos to get bonuses in the NFL Week 7.

The Ravens take on the Lions on Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. ET. You can watch on FOX, Fox Sports, NFL+, or NFL Sunday Ticket.

NFL Player Props for Lamar Jackson

The Ravens are coming off a decisive victory against the Tennessee Titans in London, with a big helping from Zay Flowers and kicker Justin Tucker, who aced all six field goal attempts in their 24-16 win. Their defense wasn’t too bad, either, with six sacks against Tennessee.

Baltimore is first in the AFC North, but its two losses came against the Colts and the Steelers — not the strongest teams in the league by any means, but not bad either.

On the Lions’ side, Detroit is looking like one of the best teams in the league after recovering from a Week 2 at-home loss to the Seahawks. They beat the Bucs 20-6 last Sunday in a game in which the point spread was 3 points. Key to the Lions’ win was Amon-Ra St. Brown’s return. He had 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. David Montgomery, though, is likely out for Week 7, while Jahmyr Gibbs will probably be back.

Lamar Jackson Over 216.5 Passing Yards (-114 on FanDuel Sportsbook)

Jackson has passed for an average of 208.8 yards per game and a total of 1,253 yards so far this season. He’s completed 69.9% of his passes with five touchdowns and three interceptions.

Of course, the Lions’ defense is formidable, but they’re better against the rush than the pass. Their pass defense is middling, allowing 221.2 yards per game through the air. In contrast, they’re the best in the league for rushing defense, allowing just 64.7 yards per game.

We expect the Ravens to respond accordingly and Jackson to look for chances to let the ball fly.

Lamar Jackson Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-175 on DraftKings Sportsbook)

Yes, Jackson has passed for significant yardage this season, but that arm hasn’t converted as well in the Red Zone. He’s only gotten more than one touchdown two times so far this season. In three games, he didn’t throw for a single touchdown pass, and against the Titans, he got just one.

The Lions held the Bucs to field goals and have rarely allowed more than one passing touchdown in a game this season.

One catch to this? The Panthers’ Bryce Young got three passing touchdowns against the Lions. And it’s the Panthers. So if you want to go with a riskier bet, go with the over at +135.

Lamar Jackson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+126 on Caesars Sportsbook)

Jackson has four rushing touchdowns so far this year — two against the Colts and two against the Browns. We pointed out that the Lions are a powerhouse against the rush, but we do like the odds on this one.

It also fits with our bets that, while Jackson will likely do a lot of throwing this game, he needs to figure out a better strategy for scoring once in the Red Zone.
