When the clock struck zero on the 2024 Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, the celebration for Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers was on.
Tennessee defeated Iowa in the Citrus Bowl on Monday afternoon in Orlando by a score of 35-0 to capture a second straight bowl victory under head coach Josh Heupel.
It didn’t take long for the championship shirts and hats to break out as the players donned the XXXL t-shirts to fit over their shoulder pads as they ran around posing for pictures and celebrated with family and teammates.
Quarterback Nico Iamaleava was the first on stage but was soon joined by Heupel and his family along with the Citrus Bowl representatives. Iamaleava was presented with the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl MVP championship title as teammates and fans hollered and cheered in the distance.
In a pair of words, the celebration was nothing but controlled chaos.
