VFLs in NFL Divisional Round: Jauan Jennings Steps Up, Multiple Vols Advance

The Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs has officially concluded, and five VFLs saw action in Divisional Round weekend. Six have advanced, including injured/inactive players.

See how each former Vol fared in this past weekend’s action below.

DE Derek Barnett – Houston Texans

Recorded five tackles, two solo and one TFL while playing 72 percent of defensive snaps and 21 percent of special teams snaps as a rotational defensive lineman for the Texans in their 34-10 loss to the Ravens.

Barnett and the Texans have been eliminated.

QB Hendon Hooker – Detroit Lions

Was inactive in the Lions’ 31-23 win over the Buccaneers.

WR Jauan Jennings – San Francisco 49ers

Caught five of six targets for 61 yards in his return to action in the 49ers’ 24-21 win over thePackers. Jennings played 62 percent of offensive snaps and four percent of special teams snaps.

CB Emmanuel Moseley – Detroit Lions

OUT FOR THE SEASON

LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin – Detroit Lions

Recorded three tackles, one solo, one QB hit, and 0.5 sacks while playing 23 percent of defensive snaps and 79 percent of special teams snaps as the Lions’ ST captain in Detroit’s win over Tampa Bay.

OG Trey Smith – Kansas City Chiefs

Played every snap as starting right guard while also playing 20 percent of special teams snaps in the Chiefs’ 27-24 win over the Bills to advance to the AFC Championship game.

CB Cameron Sutton – Detroit Lions

Tallied three tackles, two solo, and one pass deflection while playing 100 percent of defensive snaps and 3 percent of special teams snaps as a starting cornerback for Detroit in their win over the Buccaneers.
