Class of 2025 cornerback prospect Shamar Arnoux is decommitting from Tennessee, according to a report from On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett on Saturday evening.

Arnoux was Tennessee’s first commitment in the class after committing to Josh Heupel’s Volunteers in April 2023.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back plays for Carrollton High School in Carrollton, GA, but previously played at Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA. Arnoux boasts a four-star status according to Rivals and a three-star status according to 247 Sports and On3 Sports. Additionally, 247 Composite rankings have Arnoux as the top 400 player in the class, the No. 41 cornerback in the nation, and the No. 46 player from the state of Georgia.

Arnoux’s decommitment drops Tennessee down to five total commitments in the 2025 class, including five-star QB George MacIntyre, four-star TE Jack VanDorselaer, three-star CB Tyler Redmond, three-star RB Justin Baker, and three-star CB Dylan Lewis.

Arnoux’s Tennessee decommitment also comes just hours after a visit to the University of Georgia. The Georgia native posted several pictures of himself with the Georgia staff just an hour before his decommitment was reported on social media.

“This visit hit different,” Arnoux wrote in the captio0n. “Appreciate [Georgia Football].”

Arnoux originally committed to Tennessee coming off of a visit to Knoxville back in April 2023 and chose the Vols over Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn. Arnoux still holds more than 27 offers according to 247 including top programs such as Florida State, LSU, Michigan, and Ole Miss.

  1. Who cares, I gurantee he’s the type of player that winds up at Georgia and the best thing that happens to him is he gets to to put on a Georgia uniform buts sees no to very minimal playing time. Hes not good enough an will be to far down the depth chart.
