We’re only a handful of months out from the debut of the revamped, 16-team SEC football season.

The offseason has been filled to the brim with interesting storylines like the imminent addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the league, the retirement of Nick Saban and the ripple waves that has produced, another spring with the transfer portal in full swing, and much more.

The conference is also going through a schedule switch as the old East/West divisional format is out and the singular 16-team division is in. That will create new yearly matchups while still keeping old rivalries, such as Tennessee playing Arkansas and Mississippi State next season while retaining rivalry games against Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Florida.

The latest updated odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Georgia with the highest win total projection coming out of spring camp. The Bulldogs’ over/under is set at 10.5 as one of the few teams in the conference to have the over with better odds than the under. Texas also comes in with a 10.5 over/under fresh off a run to the College Football Playoffs but is favored to hit the under according to FanDuel’s odds.

A bevy of teams sit with a 9.5 over/under including Alabama under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, LSU with Brian Kelly in his third year, Missouri after a strong 2023 run, Ole Miss after a strong 2023 run, and Tennessee in their first full season with Nico Iamaleava. The Texas A&M Aggies, meanwhile, have the third-highest win total at 8.5 despite a new head coach with Duke’s Mike Elko.

Mississippi State and Vanderbilt are fighting it out to get out of the last-place battle with the Commodores losing the early race. The Bulldogs have the second-lowest win total at 4.5 while Vanderbilt comes in last at 2.5 wins. Fortunately for the Commodores, though, the over is favored over the under in that situation.
