Five-star offensive tackle John Turntine III has lined up three official visits including a trip to Tennessee according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.
Turntine will officially visit Texas A&M from June 5-7, Tennessee from June 13-15 and Texas from June 20-22 according to Spiegelman’s report.

Turntine is not only one of the top offensive tackle but is one of the top players in the entire 2026 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect ranks as a five-star recruit and the No. 22 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Fort Worth native also ranks as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 2 overall player in the state of Texas.

Going into the Lone State State and landing Turntine will be a challenging task for Josh Heupel and his staff. Turntine has taken four unofficial visits to Texas and one unofficial visit to Texas A&M in the last year. He took his first trip to Knoxville last month for a Tennessee junior day.
Tennessee has had success recruiting offensive tackle the last two classes. They landed David Sanders, the nation’s top prep offensive tackle, in the 2025 cycle and four-star Texas native Bennett Warren in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
The Vols’ 2026 recruiting class currently contains eight commits including from one offensive tackle— three-star Chattanooga native Gabriel Osenda. Tennessee’s eight commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
