Going into the Lone State State and landing Turntine will be a challenging task for Josh Heupel and his staff. Turntine has taken four unofficial visits to Texas and one unofficial visit to Texas A&M in the last year. He took his first trip to Knoxville last month for a Tennessee junior day.

Tennessee has had success recruiting offensive tackle the last two classes. They landed David Sanders, the nation’s top prep offensive tackle, in the 2025 cycle and four-star Texas native Bennett Warren in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The Vols’ 2026 recruiting class currently contains eight commits including from one offensive tackle— three-star Chattanooga native Gabriel Osenda. Tennessee’s eight commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
