No. 4 Tennessee outlasted South Carolina for a 75-65 win on Saturday afternoon in the regular-season finale from Knoxville.
The Vols and Gamecocks were tied at 34 entering the halftime break, but Chaz Lanier’s 20 points in the final 20 minutes proved to be the difference maker that South Carolina had no answer for.
Lanier was one of four double-digit scorers for Tennessee on Saturday, alongside Cade Phillips (15), Igor Milicic (13), and Jordan Gainey (10).
After the game, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media for just under 15 minutes. Barnes talked about the win over the Gamecocks, the Vols’ senior class on Senior Day, and much more.
