Tennessee Football wrapped up its second practice on the spring camp slate on Monday morning in Knoxville, promptly followed by an extended media session featuring a number of prominent true freshmen in the Vols’ program.

Rather than having veteran or returning players kick off the spring slate, Tennessee opts to give its freshmen their first chance in the spotlight. With just two media sessions down so far, Tennessee has already had eight first-year players speak with the press in Knoxville

Tennessee’s five freshmen on Monday featured offensive tackle David Sanders Jr., defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, wide receiver Travis Smith Jr., defensive lineman Ethan Utley, and running back Daune Morris.

Each player spoke about their first impressions of spring camp, their individual positions, getting adjusted to the new routine, and much more.

Preceding all of the player interviews on Monday was Tennessee defensive coordinator Tim Banks. The newly-extended assistant coach spoke about his position groups heading into spring camp, his thoughts on some newcomers, and much more.
