Tennessee football opened up spring practice on Friday afternoon as the Vols look to build off of last season’s 10-3 (6-2 SEC) record and a run to the College Football Playoffs.
Josh Heupel’s fifth team is replacing a number of key players, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and is looking to make it back to the playoffs while pushing for even more success this fall.
The Vols have 27 newcomers on their roster this fall with 14 on the offensive side of the ball and 13 on the defensive side of the ball. Many of those newcomers, especially four offensive transfers, are looking to replace the departing talent and help Tennessee get back to the playoffs.
Here’s what numbers the 27 newcomers are wearing this spring. Though it is important to note that their numbers could change before the start of the 2025 season.
