Former Tennessee baseball star Jordan Beck entered the Colorado Rockies’ Thursday doubleheader with just three home runs in his young MLB career.
The Rockies outfielder doubled his career total against Kansas City on Thursday, homering three times in the doubleheader. Hitting in the seven-hole, Beck hit one home run in game one of the doubleheader while going two-for-three at the plate with a solo homer.
Beck was even more impressive in game two of the doubleheader, going two-for-three again with both hits being solo home runs.
Incredibly, Colorado scored just six combined runs in a doubleheader where its seven-hole hitter hit three home runs. Kansas City took game one of the set 7-4 and game two 6-2. If you’re doing the math, yes, Colorado scored both of its game two runs on Beck solo homers.
