Five-Star Edge Rusher Schedules Official Visit With Tennessee Football

Five-star edge rusher Tristian Givens has lined up an official visit to Tennessee football according to Rivals Sam Spiegelman. Givens will takes three official visits in June including a trip to Tennessee on June 13. He’ll officially visit Florida State the week before he visits Tennessee and Texas A&M the week after he visits Tennessee.

Givens ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 62 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The composite rankings also have Givens as the No. 7 edge rusher in the 2026 cycle and the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia.

247sports own rankings are even higher on Givens, tabbing him as a five-star, the No. 23 player and No. 3 edge rusher in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Givens scheduled his official visit to Tennessee after unofficially visiting the Vols this past weekend for their 865 Live event. The blue-chip recruit has also taken an unofficial visit Southern Cal as he goes through the recruiting process.

A standout at Columbus’ Carver High School, Givens is a two-sport star on both the football field and basketball court. He helped lead Carver to the 2A Georgia State Football Championship last fall before helping lead the Tigers to the state semifinals in basketball. Givens totaled 29 tackles and 12 sacks during his junior season according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

There may not be a position that Tennessee has recruited more effectively than edge rusher under head coach Josh Heupel. The Vols have landed a multitude of blue-chip recruits at the position over the years including James Pearce, Josh Josephs, Caleb Herring and Jordan Ross.

Tennessee football has eight commitments in its 2026 recruiting class at this stage including from a pair of edge rushers— four-star Zach Groves and three-star CJ Edwards.

The Vols 2026 recruiting class currently ranks No. 21 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
