Instant Reaction: Tennessee Baseball Defeats Cincinnati in Knoxville Regional

One-seed Tennessee baseball defeated three-seed Cincinnati in game four of the Knoxville Regional 10-6 Saturday night in Knoxville.

Marcus Phillips delivered a gem of a start while the offense stayed hot. Gavin Kilen tallied four hits while Andrew Fischer and Cannon Peebles each had two. AJ Russell pitched 2.2 innings of relief and Brandon Arvidson got the final out.

After the game, RTI’s Jack Foster and Ryan Schumpert broke down Tennessee’s win, focusing on Phillips’ performance and how the junior has improved in handling the run game.
