On Monday morning, Tennessee Athletics unveiled the next era of orange uniforms. With the switch to adidas, we got our first looks at the orange set of jerseys for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and softball.
Which team has the best new uniforms, though? After the reveal, Rocky Top Insider posed that question to UT fans on both X and Instagram. As of the posting of this article, there’s a consensus winner. The football jerseys own 48.8% of the votes on X and 58% on Instagram.
Second place on X is baseball with 22.6%, while Instagram has men’s basketball at 18%. Third place on X is men’s basketball at 19%, while on Instagram it is baseball at 13%. Then, in last on both, Lady Vols basketball has 9.5% on X and 11% on Instagram.

The football uniforms are largely the same as the Nike set, but do feature some tweaks. Notable aspects include a front collar Power T logo inside a subtle circle. The “I will give my all!” slogan is now located on the inside collar, and the traditional two-stripe look is on the pants.
“We appreciate adidas recognizing the power of the Tennessee brand and we are excited about the future of this transformative partnership,” Tennessee football head coach Josh Heupel said. “Both current and future Vols will benefit from this historic deal. adidas is providing us with world-class resources and apparel that will continue to push our brand to the forefront of college football for years to come. We can’t wait to showcase our adidas uniforms this fall.”
On Tuesday, we’ll get the first look at the white set of jerseys across the sports. Then, on Wednesday, Lady Vols teams will showcase Summitt Blue uniforms. To round out the reveals, Thursday will feature Dark Mode jerseys.
