Patterson ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 247 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Fort Mill native also ranks as the No. 15 athlete and the No. 5 player in the state of South Carolina in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
The blue-chip recruit has taken just one official visit so far and it was to the home state Gamecocks last month. Patterson has taken a number of unofficial visits including to Tennessee in October for the Vols’ rivalry win over Florida.

Patterson has also taken unofficial visits to Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina State, Ohio State, South Carolina and North Carolina State. The four-star has not visited either Georgia or Kentucky yet. If Tennessee is going to land Patterson then they need to get him on campus for an official visit.
The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect is a multi-sport star Indian Land High School, playing football, basketball and track and field. On the football field, Patterson caught 52 passes for 748 yards and five touchdowns last season while also rushing for 441 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee football’s 2026 recruiting class currently contains nine commitments but from just one receiver— four-star Knoxville native Tyreek King. The Vols are working hard to flip five-star LSU receiver commit Tristen Keys and the top five recruit officially visited Tennessee earlier this month.
The Vols’ nine-commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 54 nationally and No. 11 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
