Three-Star Interior Offensive Lineman Commits To Tennessee Football

Tennessee football landed its second commitment of the day when three-star offensive lineman Edward Baker committed to the Vols over Arkansas and Ole Miss Friday afternoon. Baker is the Vols’ first interior offensive lineman commit in their 2026 recruiting class.

Baker ranks as a three-star recruit and the No. 1,169 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4, 335-pound lineman also ranks as the No. 94 interior offensive lineman and the No. 23 player in the state of Maryland.

The three-star recruit is a standout at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. Tennessee currently has two players on its roster who attended St. Frances— defensive end Dominic Bailey and safety Edrees Farooq. Both are competing for starting spots on Tennessee’s defense this season.

Baker has taken three visits to Tennessee to this point in his recruitment. The offensive lineman unofficially visited Tennessee for the Alabama game in the fall and then again during spring practice in April. He took his official visit to Tennessee earlier in June before committing to the Vols at the end of the month.

Baker also took official visits to Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina State and Ole Miss before committing to Josh Heupel and the Vols.

The Maryland native is Tennessee’s 11th total commit and second offensive line commit in the 2026 recruiting cycle joining five-star Gabriel Osenda.

Tennessee football’s 2026 recruiting class entered the day ranked No. 35. After landing two commits, the Vols class No. 45 nationally according to the 247sports team rankings after landing Baker’s commitment. Tennessee’s class also ranks No. 9 in the SEC
