Tennessee football is coming off a busy weekend on the recruiting trail, landing four commitments in two days to skyrocket up the recruiting rankings.

The Vols could add two more commitments to their 2026 recruiting class Tuesday as four-star targets Dereon Albert and TJ White are announcing their college commitments. Albert and White are both standouts at Jackson Academy and Jackson, Mississippi and will announce their college commitments in a ceremony at their school at approximately 2 p.m. ET.

Albert is a defensive tackle who is choosing between North Carolina and Tennessee. He ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 359 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. Albert also ranks as the No. 14 player in the state of Mississippi and the No. 42 defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

247sports own rankings are even higher on Albert, tabbing him as the No. 184 player and No. 28 defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Albert has had a dominant first three high school seasons at the Jackson Academy, combining for 246 tackles, 61.5 tackles for loss, 22.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. The 6-foot-2, 305-pound defensive tackle totaled 81 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks while helping the Raiders post a 9-4 record in his junior season.

White is an inside linebacker who is down to a top group that includes Auburn, Florida State, Mississippi State and Tennessee. He ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 113 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. White also ranks as the No. 7 linebacker and No. 5 player in the state of Mississippi in the 2026 recruiting cycle.

Tennessee football’s 2026 recruiting class currently contains 13 commitments including from three defensive lineman. However, all three defensive line commits are edge rushers and Tennessee does not have a linebacker committed. If the Vols land them, Albert and White would be Tennessee’s first defensive tackle and linebacker commit respectively.

The Vols’ 13 commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 23 nationally and No. 8 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
