“I am thankful for the staff and everyone who gave me the opportunity to be a part of the University of Tennessee football program,” Harmon wrote when he entered the portal. “After much prayer and reflection, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. I’m grateful for the relationships, lessons, and growth I’ve experienced during my time here. I trust that God is guiding my path and leading me toward what He has next for me, both on and off the field.”

Harmon is from the Knoxville area, listing Sevierville, Tennessee, as his hometown. He played for Knoxville Catholic in high school, where he was named the 2023 Knox News Offensive Player of the Year and 2022 D2-AAA Player of the Year.

Harmon initially chose to play for the Vols over offers from Air Force, Army, East Carolina, ETSU, Eastern Kentucky, Lafayette, Memphis, Navy, Penn, Troy and Wofford.

He is the second former Knoxville Catholic wide receiver to enter the transfer portal out of UT this cycle. Tommy Winton, who appeared in two games in 2025 on offense, announced his intention, as well, and is headed to ETSU.
