
Tennessee baseball is moving up the first pitch time for game two of its weekend series against Wright State due to inclement weather. First pitch at Lindsey Nelson Stadium is now at 3 p.m. ET with the SEC Network+ streaming the game.
Inclement weather is supposed to roll into Knoxville on Saturday night and will continue into Sunday. First pitch for Sunday’s game is still at 1 p.m.
The Vols and Raiders open up their three-game series on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. ET. It’s Tennessee’s final series of the non conference slate. Josh Elander’s first Tennessee team has won four straight games and is looking to extend the winning streak ahead of next weekend’s SEC opening series at Georgia.

Tennessee and Wright State have faced off in recent years. Back in 2020, Wright State won a three-game series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. It was the last non conference series that Tennessee had lost before dropping two out of three games against Kent State.
Of course, Tennessee got revenge a year later when Drew Gilbert hit a walk-off grand slam to defeat the Raiders in the Knoxville Regional opener. The win propelled Tennessee to its first trip to the College World Series in 16 years.
After making it to a regional —and eliminating Vanderbilt— a season ago, Wright State has gotten off to a slower start this season. The Raiders enter this weekend 4-6 and have faced a couple opponents that Tennessee has faced, or will face, this season.
Wright State dropped two out of three games against Georgia. They suffered blowout defeats in game one and game two before winning a tight game in the series finale. The Raiders blew out Kent State in a midweek matchup.
