Lady Vols basketball is undergoing multiple staff changes this offseason. With Gabe Lazo resigning and ending up as the head coach at UCF, and Tennessee parting ways with Roman Tubner, those assistant coach vacancies were filled by Bill Ferrera and Isoken Uzamere.
Now, the Lady Vols’ director of video and creative content, Josh Theis, is also departing. Theis announced that he is no longer with the program on his Instagram on Tuesday.
“When you spend 7 years in one place, it becomes a second home,” Theis wrote. “Thank you to Coach Kellie for the opportunity to work at Tennessee. Thank you to Coach Kim for allowing me to stay on. I Will always be grateful for everyone I was able to work with , players and managers. Excited for what’s next.”

More From RTI: Kim Caldwell Hires New Coach For Lady Vols Basketball Staff With SEC Experience
Theis joined Tennessee under Kellie Harper in 2019 as a graduate manager. In 2021, he completed his master’s in sports management, but was retained on Harper’s staff. That’s when he was elevated to the role of director of video and creative content.
Despite the coaching change to Kim Caldwell, Theis was retained. In this position, he held a leadership role in working alongside the recruiting coordinator and coaching staff to create graphics and videos for use in recruiting and social media. He also assisted the coaching staff in opponent scouting reports and coordinating all aspects of film exchange and video editing.
With video review challenges being added to college basketball, Theis also played a big role in deciding when the team would call for a review and when to play on.
