Tennessee Baseball announced via a social media post on Saturday that the Vols will be rocking their black Dark Mode uniforms for Game 2 of the series against Texas in Knoxville. The uniforms feature a black hat with the interlocking UT logo, a black jersey with large orange letters that spell out ‘VOLS’ across the chest, and white pants.
The Vols first debuted the Dark Mode uniforms on the diamond in May 2022. This came just a handful of months after Tennessee Football first broke out its black uniforms during the 2021 football season. After a handful of years of use, the Dark Mode uniforms have become an alternate fixture for football, men’s basketball, and baseball.
Tennessee even won Game 3 of the College World Series Finals while wearing the Dark Mode uniforms, placing the look in the all-time history books of Tennessee Athletics and college baseball as a whole.
