Tennessee football and all other sports will be donning new uniforms next year. The Vols are making the switch from Nike back to adidas, which will begin in July.

That means that the ensuing practices for fall camp will also be adidas jerseys instead of the Nike ones that UT donned during the spring slate. While Tennessee is still technically a Nike school until July, we’ve begun to see the rollout of adidas on campus.

First, it was official visit photos that showed off some adidas merch, but still Nike uniforms. Now, players have posted photos of the new practice uniforms. Here’s a look:

The partnership between UT and adidas begins on July 2, 2026, and runs for 10 years, effectively through the 2035-36 athletic year.

“Our mission is to build the premier athletics department in the country and to lead the way in college sports. Partnering with adidas is an ideal fit, as their mission is to be the best sports brand in the world,” Tennessee Director of Athletics Danny White said in a statement. “There is no denying the resurgence of Tennessee Athletics, powered by the greatest fan base in all of sports. Our strong licensing numbers, impressive television ratings, and sold-out venues all reflect this. adidas recognized our potential and responded with one of the best apparel deals in the history of college sports, prioritizing Vol Nation and the Tennessee brand.

“This partnership provides us with a significant advantage in the ever-evolving landscape of college sports. We take pride in our fan base and the competitive edge they offer us. We refuse to partner with someone who does not feel the same way.”

We’ll get our first look at what Tennessee’s adidas uniforms look like on July 2. Throughout the week, new jerseys will be revealed, with each day marking different colors and themes. While UT is switching to adidas, the university is still in control of the creative vision.
