The road to the 2025 Tennessee football season is underway.

Tennessee kicked off the fall camp slate with an in-house media day on Tuesday before things get fired up on the field for the first practice on Wednesday morning.

Fifth-year head coach Josh Heupel opened the day with a 20-minute press conference in the usual setting in front of the media. During the interview, Heupel hit on a number of topics such as UT’s leadership council, the upcoming quarterback battle, and Boo Carter’s status with the program.

Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle and defensive coordinator Tim Banks followed Heupel’s press conference. They both gave their initial thoughts on the fall camp timeline for the month of August and dove into some of the questions about their respective sides of the ball. Halzle spoke about the quarterback competition and Joey Aguilar’s adjustment to the system, the wide receiver group, and the expectations for returning starter Lance Heard on the offensive line. Banks, meanwhile, touched on Tennessee’s secondary battles, the linebacker room, and improved depth with talent.
